Our story began over 20 years ago…
Bridge English School opened on August 1st, 2001 and is owned and managed by Daniel Thach, a native New Yorker. With over three decades of teaching experience in America and Japan, Dan has created a unique atmosphere that puts students at ease and helps them overcome their fears of communicating in English. We welcome you to Bridge!

Your “Bridge” to other languages and cultures…
We are excited to help you reach your specific language goals. Bridge offers conversation classes in English and French which are all taught by experienced native speaking teachers. We offer group classes (4-6 students), private lessons, semi-private (2-3 students) and off-site company classes. We have early morning lessons, late evening classes and a “flex class” system for your convenience. Stop by, call or email us to make an appointment for a free consultation and trial lesson.

Our goal is to make every student feel special and welcome. When students enter our school, they are warmly greeted by staff and invited to relax and chat before class. Our classrooms were carefully designed to look like American-style rooms. Many of the construction materials were actually imported from America, such as the soft peach-colored wallpaper, the white-paneled doors and stone fixtures. These cozy classrooms help students connect with their teacher and classmates as they laugh, learn and build relationships with each other in English.

How about a NY-style bagel or cookie?
We are also pleased to announce that Bridge has been selling original New York style bagels and cookies from March 2013. All of the bagels and cookies are made by Miki Thach (Dan’s wife). She has mastered the flavor and texture of New York style bagels and cookies. At present, she has created over 30 types of bagels and 10 different cookie recipes. Every day there are several different types of bagels and cookies on sale for students and non-students to enjoy.
